are devices designed for cutting all kinds of metal parts, pipes, rails, bars, etc. with dimensions that fall within the range of the maximum cutting cross section of the device. The cutters can also find application outside mining and can be used for cutting materials other than metal, using appropriate cutting belts.
The cutting belt of the cutter is driven through a drive wheel driven, in turn, by a hydraulic satellite motor designed specifically for this type of equipment, for the supply of which it is possible to use a water-oil emulsion of the HFA type, which in underground mining makes it possible to supply the device directly (without a reducer) from emulsion hydraulic buses of mechanized supports. It is also possible to supply oil from other hydraulic systems, such as roadheaders. The design of the cutter makes it possible to use the supply medium to cool the working cutting belt.
Hydraulic mining cutters have a simple, lightweight yet stable design, and are equipped with an easy-to-use mechanism for adjusting the working width of the frame, allowing the machine to adapt to the workpiece being cut and the length of the cutting belt used. The adjustable mechanism is also used for tensioning the tape and allows manual control of its tension force reducing the possibility of slippage. The cutting belt guides are made of sintered carbide (replacing roller bearings) and the drive wheel raceway is lined with a highly durable “Becorit” type material, generally used as a lining for the drive wheels of mines hoisting machines.
